Yesterday our Advanced Manufacturing students had an incredible opportunity to get a firsthand look at what it takes to keep industries running at Process & Power!
Students learned about the importance of compressed air in manufacturing, participated in a training session, toured the production floor and warehouse, and gained valuable insight into the skills, knowledge, and career opportunities involved in becoming an industrial technician and beyond!
Experiences like these allow our students to connect classroom learning to real-world careers and see the exciting possibilities awaiting them in the workforce!

🚔 Hands-On Training in Law Enforcement!
Our Law Enforcement students are putting their skills into practice by learning about traffic stops using the SRO’s SUV cruiser! 🚨 This hands-on experience gives students a closer look at real-world law enforcement procedures as they build practical skills and prepare for future careers in public safety.

A Taste of the Integumentary System! 🩺🍽️
Ms. Crawford’s Health Science students are bringing science to life with a hands-on lesson about the integumentary system! As they explore the topic of pigmentation and discoloration, students got to try edible skin prepared by Ms. Crawford.
This creative activity gave students a unique way to connect classroom concepts to the real world while learning more about the skin, its coloring, and the changes that can occur.

Partnering with companies actively working in the logistics industry, they’re creating and presenting hands-on activities and displays to teach other students and the public how the worldwide supply chain works.
Along the way, they’re building confidence, sharing their knowledge, networking with fellow students, and encouraging others to explore careers in logistics and supply chain management.

Yesterday, Ms. Morris worked with our juniors from all three blocks to administer the WorkKeys assessment and discuss the importance of this valuable test.
WorkKeys helps students demonstrate essential workplace skills that can support their future career and educational goals. By understanding the value of this assessment, students can better prepare themselves for opportunities beyond high school.

Law Enforcement and Fire Science 3rd Block students took on their Wednesday physical training (PT), working through a series of obstacle course stations designed to challenge their strength, endurance, coordination, and determination.
Physical fitness is an important part of preparing for careers in law enforcement and fire service, where teamwork, discipline, and the ability to push through challenges matter every day.

Students built miniature classrooms out of cardboard, complete with tiny desks and articles highlighting different time periods, to showcase how school culture has changed throughout the years. From classroom setups to the traditions and experiences that shaped each generation, students brought the history of education to life through their hands-on creations! 🍎📝
This project gave our future educators a fun, interactive way to explore how schools have evolved and how those changes have shaped the educational experiences of students and teachers.

Through these hands-on activities, students are learning how to recognize potential emergencies, assess patient conditions, and understand the importance of responding quickly and appropriately when someone needs help.

Our Fire Science students had a special visitor this morning, Jorja Brown, as a former student returned to CTCE to help teach the next generation of firefighters! 🔥
During the visit, Jorja got to assist current Fire Science students in learning how to properly don their SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) equipment, an essential skill for firefighters working in hazardous environments.
We love seeing former students return to share their knowledge, experience, and skills with our current students! These connections help strengthen our program and inspire the next generation of fire service professionals. We are proud to see our CTCE family continuing to learn, lead, and give back!
