🚒🔥 Learning from the Pros!
Friday our Fire Science students recently had the opportunity to welcome Fairhaven Fire Department to CTC for a hands-on look at the ins and outs of a fire truck!
Students explored the equipment, tools, and technology firefighters rely on every day while learning more about how these vehicles support emergency response. Experiences like this give our students valuable insight into the profession and help connect classroom learning to the real world. 👨🚒👩🚒
A big thank-you to Fairhaven Fire Department for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with our future firefighters! ❤️🚒

Our Logistics and Supply Chain students are getting hands-on experience with the equipment they’ll encounter in the industry! Students recently learned how to safely operate a dock leveler, gaining practical knowledge of an important part of the loading and unloading process.
Hands-on training like this helps prepare our students with the skills, confidence, and safety awareness needed for success in the logistics and supply chain industry! 📦🚛🔧

Help us wish our wonderful Student Services Coordinator, Jessica Morris, a very happy birthday! We’re so grateful for the support, encouragement, and positivity she brings to our students and staff. 💙 Thank you Ms. Davis for bringing her the crown she deserves!
Have a fantastic birthday, Jessica! 🥳🎈

Our Health Science students took on the Humpty Dumpty Activity, a fun teamwork challenge with a surprise twist! Students were given the task of wrapping and protecting an egg—but they weren’t told why they were doing it. 🤔
After working together to design their egg’s protective wrapping, teams took their creations outside for the ultimate test: the drop! 🥚⬇️
Would their eggs survive the fall? The only way to find out was to put their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills to the test!
This hands-on activity encouraged students to communicate, collaborate, think creatively, and work together toward a common goal—all skills that are essential in Health Science and beyond! 🩺👏
Who knew Humpty Dumpty could teach us so much? 😄🥚

Our Law Enforcement and Fire Science students are putting in the work! 💪🔥
Students recently participated in physical training (PT) designed to build strength, endurance, teamwork, and the physical fitness needed for careers in public safety.
From pushing through challenging exercises to encouraging their classmates, our students are learning that success in public safety takes more than technical knowledge—it takes discipline, determination, and teamwork.
We're proud to see our future first responders challenging themselves, supporting one another, and preparing for the demands of their future careers! 👏🚒🚔

🚒 Fire Science students put their rescue skills to the test! 🚒
Today’s training focused on CERT training—a critical skill for citizen emergency response teams. Students practiced using wood cribbing to safely stabilize and lift a heavy obstacle, creating enough space to remove a trapped victim (rescue dummy) from underneath.
This hands-on exercise challenged students to work together, think strategically, communicate clearly, and use proper rescue techniques—all skills that could one day make a life-saving difference! 💪🔥
Hands-on training today. Life-saving skills for tomorrow! 👨🚒🧯

Students practiced sanding and staining, developing the precision, patience, and attention to detail needed to create a quality finished product. These hands-on experiences help students turn classroom skills into real-world career preparation!

Ed Prep Year 1 students kicked off the school year by completing their Identity Boxes Project! 📦✨
Through this project, students had the opportunity to share the people, experiences, interests, and things that make them who they are. As future educators, building strong relationships and creating a welcoming classroom community are essential—and what better way to start than by getting to know one another?
We’re excited to see this group grow together, learn from one another, and begin their journey toward becoming tomorrow’s educators! 🍎📚

🩺✨ FRAMING THE FUTURE! ✨🩺
Our Health Science students were busy today preparing for what comes after the classroom during their Employment Preparation Project: “Framing the Future”! 🎓 #FramingTheFuture #HealthScience #CareerReady #CTE

Thank you, Bethel Presbyterian Church for the huge donation of snacks and goodies! Our staff appreciates you and your support!

Learning was in full swing today as our Health Science students took on a fast-paced medical scavenger hunt in the school lab! Students raced to identify and locate essential medical supplies and equipment while sharpening their observation skills and learning the names and purposes of the tools they'll use throughout the program. This engaging, hands-on activity is just one of the many ways our students are building confidence and preparing for exciting careers in the healthcare field.

Kicking off the first day, second block at CTCE welcoming our second years back as well as our new, first years! Hoping everyone has a great start!
